South West Tourism has selected time@work - project accounting and project management software – to eliminate manual time sheets across the organisation and to better understand how employees are allocating their time in order to more accurately forecast the time needed for investment in project work.

John Chalmers, Finance Director of South West Tourism, states, “Our main requirement when considering implementing project accounting and management software was that we needed a system that was very easy to use and had a simple interface for staff to use.”

time@work is designed to provide organisations with the tools, management information and processes needed to run a successful, efficient and profitable business. It provides rich analysis and flexibility and enables efficiencies within an organisation by integrating Time Recording, Expense Management, Billing and other, critical business applications.

John Chalmers adds, “Previously, we had been using manual, paper-based time sheets that were highly inefficient and didn’t provide us with a holistic view of how time was being spent across our organisation. time@work has given us a platform that enables South West Tourism to improve efficiencies across our staff and project based activities.”

South West Tourism is a partnership of private enterprise for both local and central government designed to encourage the promotion and development of tourism in Bath, Bristol, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. South West Tourism is a not for profit organisation and the regional body working on and representing, the interests of tourism businesses operating in the South West of England.

Michael Sheehan, managing director of systems@work, said, “South West Tourism was experiencing first-hand the inefficiencies associated with manual time recording. By understanding their requirements we have been able to provide a solution that eradicates their pain points and enables them to forecast and better manage the time allocation of their staff.”
