time@work and eXpense use Transmission Profiles to send reports (which have been written using Inquiry Profiles) to the desktop or mailbox of users.
A Transmission Profile:
-
Lists Inquiry Profiles which are to be transmitted
-
Defines destinations for each Inquiry Profile
-
Defines the format for each output (Excel, Word, HTML)
-
Defines whether the report should also be published as a Web report (for users to view when they login through the browser)
-
Defines the fixed parameters to be supplied to the Inquiry Profiles when they are run as part of a Transmission Profile
First you must select the Inquiry Profiles you want to transmit:

Note that you can modify the Profile Description for the Inquiry Profile you have selected. Next you must specify some destinations.

You can use the Properties button to specify the format of the transmission.

And then you can specify a fixed parameter (if you need to) to fill one or more of the runtime parameters required by the Inquiry Profile.

In this case you are sending the output from Client Work in Progress to Patrick Jenkins (at Oil International) and to Gladys Thrower (at Global Insurance Services).
Before you run the Transmission Profile you must give it a name and optionally some documentary comment.

When you run the Profile you will be asked to supply the remaining runtime parameters for the Inquiry Profiles and to confirm (or eliminate) the destinations defined in the Profile.
