There may be situations where you need to clear all transaction data from a time@work or expense@work database.
Typically this occurs in situations where you need to remove test data from the system prior to go live or perhaps where you wish to create an empty test version of a live database.
A SQL Server Script which removes all transaction data is available for download here.
This Script will erase all Transaction Data (but not Reference Data) in the system and should only be used by someone comfortable with Executing SQL Scripts. Additionally a backup of the database should be taken prior to running the Script.
Prior to running the Script you should also review the System Control Data Screen (See Screenshot Below) to amend the Sequence Numbers as needed.
This is done by:
1. Logging into the expense@work or time@work Maintenance Application as Admin.
2. Going to the System Control screen.
3. Reset all values either to 1 or alternatively to a value higher than currently displayed (so you can differentiate them from test transactions in the future).
Once this has been completed you should run the Script.
