Using Webconfig To Manage Timeouts

In time@work and expense@work it is possible to amend the Timeout settings in order to control how long it is before a persons Browser session expires.

A user should be automatically logged out when the minimum of the following 2 time intervals is reached:

1. The session timeout set for the Website or Application Pool Settings on IIS.

2. The timeout specified in the Session State Settings section of the Web.config file (located in the PSW directory on the Server).

Here the example is for 120 minutes:

1 27.0.0.1:42424″ sqlConnectionString=”data source=127.0.0.1;user id=sa;password=” cookieless=”false” timeout=”120″ />

Note: Your Web.config file may be different to the above and nothing other than the value for timeout (i.e. 120 in this example) should be altered.
