time@work Version 4.7 Released

We are very pleased to announce the release of time@work Version 4.7.

Version 4.7 is a major new release containing many enhancements.

Enhancements:

Planning

Planning has been completely re-written and this release includes a number of significant enhancements:

time@work Budgets and Plans now have the option to show Employees and Projects regardless of whether there is data in the plan or budget. This will enable Administrators and Project Managers to achieve a more accurate overall view of the resource commitment and availability.

Users will now have the option to collapse day columns into Timesheet Periods or Accounting Periods.

Users will have the option to open a Budget or Planning Profile with dates and values grouped, as specified.

There is now an option to write Budget Data (for example invoice values) to the Actuals ledger.

New options now exist to allow the moving and manipulation of cell contents.

Users can now automatically fill field values in grouped rows.

PSW General and Miscellaneous

Columns can now be frozen in Timesheets, Forms, Approvals, Inquiries, Ledger Export Preview, Workflow Status and Planning.

Workflow Status Reports can now be executed as inquiries via the web as well as formatted reports.

Inquiries and Immediate Reports are now accessed from the same page using different icons, and last usage date is shown.

When only one Project is available in a form, then it is automatically completed on a new row and saves the employee the need to select the Project.

All edit controls and buttons in Approvals in the PSW will no longer be visible if no field values are modifiable (other than for approval status and notes field).

There is now the option to list the most frequently used currencies for an employee on their forms.

You may now export to Excel from the Project Portal, the Employee Index and from all Reference record grids in the web interface.

Forms may be Split by an Employee during Entry and Proxy Entry stage.

The recalculation of forms can now be suppressed when a historical form is opened by an Employee in the PSW.

You now have an option to suppress the ‘No Parameters have been specified’ warning when a profile is run in the PSW without any values specified for runtime parameters.

Workflow Start Date can now be used as a selection field in Workflow Control.

Approvals

Approval Status emails can now be suppressed, and message content can be controlled outside the Data Dictionary.

General

A new role type allows you to associate an employee using a role on an activity analysis value.

New Date and Date/Time formats can be specified for Analysis Definitions and calculations can calculate days, hours, or minutes between two such analysis fields.

A form type can now be defined as the successor of another form type, with all row values being copied to a successor form on posting of the first, and with both forms linked using a nominated activity analysis field.

You can now specify what should be done during Timesheet or Form workflow if a document is routed to an Employee who has already seen it (entered it, authorized it or reviewed it). You can specify that the Employee should be skipped, the routing should be allowed, or the routing should be halted and the administrator informed.

Account Codes can now be specified as criteria for Error Tables and Value Tables.

Credit Card Import has been changed so that you may now set an option to append records to current forms rather than create new ones.

Routing Rules now allow an extra 10 steps at Authorisation and an extra 10 steps at Review stage.

You may now specify a ‘next step’ after the completion of a Routing step. This provides considerably enhanced workflow flexibility.

Timesheet calculations are now executed prior to Routing enabling the use of calculated values for conditional routing.

You may now specify either Data Access Restrictions for Project and Employee selection when profiles are invoked in the PSW, or Standard Project Restrictions (such as those used to determine the list of Projects available in a Timesheet or Form), or none. This means that a profile can be set up to allow an Employee to select from any Project irrespective of existing restrictions.

Invoice Data Profiles now enable you to map values from Planning Profiles to invoice calculations. This makes it possible for you to enter an invoicing schedule using Planning and to use Invoicing to invoice those values when due.

Accessibility of the Employee record Main Tab can now be controlled using Access Profiles.

Icon image files can be associated with Clients, Projects and Form Types. These will be used by the iPhone App which is due for release this summer.
